Summary

“Oh no, I can’t hear!”
This is a story of Beethoven’s dramatic life where he struggles and overcomes and creates his own destiny. We present this story with a combination of his inspiring piano compositions and dramatic skits that young children can enjoy.

Program

Solo piano excerpts from the “Moonlight”, “Pathetique”, “Tempest” and “Appassionata” sonatas by Beethoven.

Performer Profiles

Mari Mimura (Piano)
Graduate of the Musashino Music Conservatory, Ms. Mimura traveled to the U.S. to study at the University of California, Los Angeles at the recommendation of Professor Vitaly Margulis, where she completed the Master`s program in music. She has performed with the Slovakia National Broadcaster’s Orchestra, the German Weimar Goethe String Quartet, and the Warsaw National Philharmonic Chamber Group among others.

Yukiko Okada (Actor/Guest)
Born in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Ms. Okada graduated from Fukuoka Educational College and joined the Chojyu Giga Theater Group. She has traveled throughout Japan as a cast member of the Open Ponkikisho Children’s Theater. She is currently planning, producing and performing in various theatrical works including Okada Yukiko’s Solo Stage Performance.
