About Mimumimu no Mori

Mimumimu no Mori is a group of musicians founded to promote classical music and make it accessible to a wider audience.

With a deep respect for the traditions of European classical music, we bring its beauty to audiences throughout Japan. To make our concerts enjoyable for children as well as adults, we incorporate theatrical storytelling and creative stage presentations. Even those who are new to classical music often tell us, “It was so easy to understand and enjoy!”

As musicians, we devote ourselves to every single note, paying meticulous attention to how each sound is produced. We aim to create moments that touch people’s hearts—moments of joy, tenderness, excitement, and even tears. This is what our work as musicians is all about.

With the hope of sharing these moments with as many people as possible, we created our Choiku (Listening Ear Development) Concerts.

Choiku is our original concept of nurturing the ability to listen with attentive ears. By introducing the stories and intentions behind the music and presenting each performance in an engaging and accessible way, our concerts help children develop ears that can recognize and appreciate beautiful sounds and the rich expression of music from an early age.

Our greatest joy as musicians is people thinking, “Music is wonderful.”
